Some years ago when we lived in Tennessee, a government official came to me for help with prostate cancer. His PSA test was 120 and he was not improving. We talked, and I gave him some suggestions for things he could do. He didn't tell his doctor that he was using alternatives. But when he went back to his doctor for more tests to keep up on his progress. Some weeks passed.
After awhile, he came in to see me with a story.
It seems that when he doctor saw him, he would ask, "What have you been doing?" He would never tell the doctor that he was using alternatives. The next time he saw his doctor, he would get the grilling again. With each visit the doctor would grill him about what he was doing.
Finally, his doctor, who was something of a friend, ask him to come to dinner at his home. Again, the conversation turned into a "What have you been doing?". My client wouldn't tell. Finally, this client asked his doctor why he was so adamant with his questions.
The doctor said. You came to me with a PSA of 120 and now it has dropped to 0.1, I have never seen this happen before. It is totally astounding.
The patient still didn't tell his doctor how he did it.
